red flower is both full and empty. It is silent and good. It is very simple. it is what you are most surrounded by, but perhaps do not see. see it. smell it. breathe it. love it. feel it. red flower believes in always looking and trying to find.

consider it a park. a place to let your eyes wander and your mind float. a space that is lived-in and alive. a diorama behind glass with three focal points - the terrarium, the totem pole and the floating sink. much of its beauty is to be discovered. there is a sense of a well-lived past transformed. found furniture is reconstructed into fixtures – one-foot cube time capsules which float from blue glass. individual worlds that come together with the totem pole to tell a story and to display “pocket clutter”*. in creating the space, we chose to collaborate with husband and architect scott kruger, who understood the red flower organic method – being comfortable with the unknown and taking time to let ideas unfold. the working relationship being such that inspiration didn’t come form one place or one idea, but from a cultivation of ideas over time. for all of us the project is a leap of faith.
