Upbeat “dinner party” feel showcases burlesque dancers and unique musical performances.

Bringing the excitement back into dining, Corio Restaurant is bringing together small plate dining with a unique and energetic atmosphere that includes rotating musical acts and stimulating burlesque dancers.

Corio offers a diverse selection of Mediterranean fare for lunch and dinner in the main dining room, while the upstairs offers smaller tapas-like sharing plates, where burlesque dancers perform for brief 5 minutes sets throughout the evening.

The alluring space is adorned with antique cherubic wallpaper from the 1960’s, plush couches, and all-natural purpled hued wood flooring that comes from the precious 120-1250 foot “purple-heart” trees.

The upstairs of Corio includes a 8-inch elevated riser that serves as a “stage” to showcase dancers performing traditional style burlesque, as well as modern takes, set to present day mixes of music, under seductive glowing red spotlights.

The menu was developed by Marion Maur, the former operations manager at Sushi Samba and present chef and owner of Marion’s Country Kitchen in Woodstock, New York.

The menu consists of a variety of classic dishes with fresh fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan options for the small plates as well as a lunch and dessert menu. Only the freshest produce is selected and brought in from the Hudson Valley in Maur’s hopes that the food’s simplicity reflects how good it tastes and feels.

The menu’s offerings will rotate periodically, but the goal will remain the same: “supreme quality food with friends” that will inspire people to spend the night at Corio with a bottle of wine, good conversation, and sexy burlesque dancing.”
