Cocktails at the Catalina for Art Basel
on Friday Dec 8th
Who doesn’t love a 2-for-1 special? During “Art Basel Miami Beach,” the Catalina Hotel & Beach Club has the best 2-for-1 on South Beach… 2 Art Fairs running simultaneously from December 7th until the 10th!
There’s even a special for you special Social Divas: Come by on Friday, December 8th between 5-7pm and receive a complimentary Diva Cosmopolitan. Don’t say no! Have a drink, and then quench your thirst for art.
And there is a good variety of art to choose from: The Catalina Hotel is featuring two art fairs, Bridge and Flow.
The goal of the Bridge Art Fair, an international exposition of new art, is to broaden the exposure of emerging and contemporary art and artists. As such, Bridge focuses on emerging and new contemporary work in all media. This includes but is not limited to painting, prints, photography, sculpture, installation, drawing, film, video, new media, and conceptual art.
The Flow Art Fair is an “attitude-free” fair that was formed to fill the gap between the Blue Chip dealers who exhibit in the Miami Beach Convention Center during Art Basel and the younger galleries who exhibit at existing satellite fairs such as Scope, Pulse and Aqua. Many of the chosen exhibitors have pioneered contemporary art programs in their own communities and are committed to bringing their love of art and eye for talent to Art Basel Miami Beach.
In addition to these two simultaneous Art Fairs, Catalina patrons will be able to enjoy additional local artwork that is on permanent display, year round, at the hotel. For instance, the hotel restaurant is home to several interesting works of art from the Spinello Gallery. These painted wood pieces are from the series “She Kills He” and add a truly whimsical element to the restaurant vibe.
