Get Ready Budgetistas: H&M Comes to Atlanta
The first H&M opened in Sweden in 1942. Now the retail empire boasts almost 1,200 stores in 22 countries. But for far too long, shopping the trendy, budget-conscious collections offered by H&M was a plane ride away; a fact that consistently brought home to Atlanta Divas this important question: How far would you go for fashion?
Well, what if we told you that very soon you will only have to go as far as Atlantic Station?
That’s right divas! We hope you’re sitting down.
H&M is headed south and stopping for good in the ATL!
The new store, made up of 25,000-square-feet of pure shopping ecstasy, will anchor the new Atlantic Station shopping complex while allowing all of us to acquire the totally of-the-moment clothes and accessories that we so covet.
What are we most excited about? Good question! We’re pumped that we can avoid the cost of a plane ride to purchase those H&M specialty collections designed in collaboration with a roster of top designers and style icons. We’re talking Stella McCartney, Madonna, Viktor & Rolf, Roberto Cavalli (due out November 8), and even Mr. Chanel himself—Karl Lagerfeld—presenting collections at prices that the average person can actually afford! Not that a Diva is ever average! But everyone likes to find a fabulous fashion steal…
H&M Atlanta is slated to open its doors for the first time in early 2008 so warm up your credit cards (and save your skymiles for a trip to the Turks & Caicos Film Festival to attend Social Diva’s VIP Party) because H&M is coming to town!
